5 FUN AIRSOFT GAME MODES PERFECT FOR TEAM BUILDING

Part of what makes airsoft games such an easy and ideal choice for a team building activity is their incredible versatility and endless combinations of gameplay, which makes them adaptable for players of all ages and skill levels! It’s always best to know what your options are and consider which airsoft game mode is most suitable for your group when designing a custom wargame experience. And whether you’re a new airsoft player or an experienced one, trying out different game modes can be a great way to mix things up and have some fun.

Here at War Zone, Hong Kong’s premier indoor wargame arena located in Lai Chi Kok, we offer five fun airsoft game modes for players that are great for team building. Let us break down each of our airsoft game types one by one so you know what you’re in for at your next CQB game with us!

Capture the Flag

In Capture the Flag, players are split into two teams each with three flags placed on their home base. The objective is simple – capture all three of your opponent team’s flags and return them to your home base, and you win the game! While racing to steal the other team’s flags, you must also defend your own! Due to the simple rules and gameplay, Capture the Flag is one of the most popular airsoft game modes enjoyable for kids and adults alike. At the same time, it’s also packed with action and requires a fair bit of strategy and teamwork to emerge victorious.

At War Zone, this fun airsoft game mode takes place in our NATO-themed and Soviet-themed zones, which are constructed of real brick and steel for a realistic battlefield experience. You feel as though you are immersed in a real-life battle scene!

King of the Hill

King of the Hill is a terrific airsoft game mode for a fun and adrenaline-pumping team building day-out! The game is all about working together with your team to take control over “the hill,” which is achieved by having your team’s flag hoisted on the pole at the designated Red Square. Essentially, two teams will race to secure the Red Square and raise their team flag on the pole. Once the Red Square is seized, a one-minute song starts to play, and the team tries to hold the Red Square for a minute to win. However, if the opposing team breaks into the Red Square before the one minute is up, the song stops and the timer resets—back to square one! During the game, attackers try to take out those at the Red Square with an airsoft gun while defenders do the same to protect their claim on the Red Square!

Confirmed Kill

Confirmed Kill puts a fun spin on your usual elimination airsoft game modes. Each player is given 50 dog tags at the start of the game, and players try to collect as many dog tags as possible from the opposing team within a 10-minute game window by tagging them with an airsoft gun. When you are hit, you are required to surrender one of your dog tags. Once the time is up, the team with the greatest number of dog tags will be announced as the winner. Alternatively, another way for your team to win is simply by taking all the dog tags of the opposing team before the 10-minute timer is up!

Bank Heist

Imagine yourself being part of a high-stakes bank heist! To begin this airsoft game mode, your group is divided into two teams—the Robbers and the Police. The Robbers will be given the combination code to the bank safe and will have to proceed to break into the bank and crack open the safe. Their job is to load gold bars of different sizes and values from the safe into a duffle bag, then exit the game zone into the test firing area, where they will come face to face with the Police team. The Police’s task is to stop the robbers at the test firing area using airsoft guns! As the bank is under siege by the Robbers, the Police cannot enter nor come within a 10-meter radius of the bank. Both teams will take turns playing either the Robber or the Police, and at the end of the game, the team with the highest value of gold bars wins!

Rescue the Hostage

In Rescue the Hostage, teams are on a mission to either rescue the hostage or prevent the hostage from being saved. The realistic scenario makes for a fun and exhilarating airsoft game mode like no other! The SWAT team is charged with locating the hostage who’s taken to a hidden room, and escorting him/her out to safety while trying to dodge attacks from the Terrorist team. After both teams have had their turn at being the SWAT team, the team that comes out with the shortest rescue time wins! As players must agree on a team strategy and execute it effectively for the rescue mission to be successful, the game is a good way of encouraging communication and teamwork.
